Troubleshooting
The tabs i’m playing aren’t synced
Playing tabs that were created on a different operating system than yours can cause lag between the song and the timing of the tabs (for example, all the tabs light up .05 seconds before or after those notes are played in the song).
To fix this use the sync adjust at the bottom of the player screen. Adjust the slider until the music and the tabs are in sync.
The tabs I found have a mistake, how can I fix this?
To edit tabs you did not create, use the export button to save the tabs locally on your computer. Then create a new tab, link to the song’s video, and import the file you saved. Now you can make any edits you like.
Make sure you link to the same video originally used so the tabs will remain synced.
We are currently working on a simpler system for collaborative editing. Make sure to stay tuned!
I press play and nothing happens
Go to youtube.com. If there is a Captcha request (a distorted image of a word or phrase) you must fill and submit it. The Captcha is used to tell humans and computers apart. Once you entered the Captcha the player should resume playing.
The tabs I found are now missing
It is possible that the creator of the tabs made them private. You can request the song to let the tabbers know you’d like to learn how to play it.
It is also possible that the owners to the rights of the original song requested it be taken down.
Youtube says the video is no longer available
If a video that was used for tabbing a song is taken off the video’s host site, then it will not be able to play on YouTab’s player.
Let us know the video has been taken down at [email protected], and if possible we will attach another video to the tabs.
