Collaborative editing

YouTab offers users a way to edit, change and improve existing tabs.

If you find tabs you’d like to edit, use the export button to save the file locally on your computer. Then create a new tab, and link to the video. It’s important that you link to the same video originally used, so the tabs will stay in sync.
You can find the URL of the video originally used by clicking the youtube logo in the video player. This will open the video in a new window, letting you see the video’s URL. Use this URL to create a new tab, then use the ‘import’ button to import the file you exported. Now you can edit the tabs as you like.

If you started working on tabs and you’d like to send them to a friend to continue work on them, you can export the file yourself and email the exported file. Make sure you also send them a link to the video you were working with, so when they import the file they work on the same video. This way the tabs will stay synced.

We are currently working on a simpler system for collaborative editing. Make sure to stay tuned!
